Solutions Menus and Pages

If you are experiencing an issue with doubling in your Solutions Menu, the following information will shed light on the issue:

Solutions pages are automatically added to your Solutions menu when you create. So, if you create a Solutions page and also manually add that Solution to a menu using the Wordpress menu-editing features, you will see that Solution appear twice on your menu.

To avoid this, do not manually enter menu items and submenu items in the Wordpress menu editor. Use the following method instead:

1. Create the Solution you wish to see on your Solutions page or menu using the steps outlined in the "Solutions Menus and Pages" help article linked above.

2. Use the hierarchy of your Solutions pages to create the a hierarchy in your Solutions Menu. For example:

If you want a main menu item with submenu items nestled underneath it, make one page a parent page and nestle the other pages underneath it. To accomplish this, use the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Wordpress editor for the Solution you want to nestle underneath another Solution to create a submenu item

2. Locate the dialogue box on the right-hand side of the screen entitled "Solutions Attributes" (see screenshot below):

3. Open up the dropdown menu and select the page you would like to nestle the Solution underneath (see screenshot below):

4. If you are adding multiple submenu items underneath the same parent page, please note that you can use the order feature to determine what order the submenu items appear in. Please set the numerical order according to your preference using the Order input pictured in the screenshot below:

5. Publish or update the Solution. Reload your website and check your menus. If you do not see a change to your menu immediately, try clearing your cache, cookies, and/or web browsing history. Then, reload the page and check again.

Please note, if you have manually entered menu and submenu items using the Wordpress menu editor, you will need to remove the menu items in order to remove the doubling of Solutions in your Solutions menu.
