Within DealerWeb the Posts section on your dashboard contains any blogs people from your dealership may have authored and/or it can contain RSS feeds from other sources. By default your website is setup to receive RSS feeds from both Turnstone and Steelcase 360. All of the blogs appear on the Blog page of your website and may appear in the Recent Posts widget when it is present on a page. You now have a setting to control which syndicated blogs appear on your site.

Settings/Syndication

Within the Settings/Syndication section on your dashboard you can do 3 things:

  • Activate or Deactivate the Steelcase 360 and Turnstone Blogs appear in their Posts
  • Change Post Status (Pending, Published, Draft or Private) for a feed.
  • Add an Additional RSS feed to the syndicated blog posts.

Activating/Deactivating a RSS feed

Within Settings/Syndication, the box in front of the RSS name needs to be checked in order for the RSS feed to work on your site.

In the example below:

- Steelcase 360 is not activated and no posts will appear on your site from this RSS Feed.

- Turnstone Blog is activated and you will find the posts within the Posts section of your dashboard.

Setting the Post Status

For active feeds, you can set the post status to be: Pending, Published, Draft or Private. What you set here affects the default behavior of the Posts within the Post section of your dashboard.

- If you just want all the posts to immediately be published, then select the Published option.

- If you want to read all the posts and then determine which you want on your site, then select the Pending option. From within the Posts section on your dashboard you can edit the Post Status of each post individually.

Add an Additional RSS feed the syndicated blog posts

If there is an RSS feed that you would like added to your site, simply contact the support team. They can add the feed for you. However, in order to add an RSS feed from another blogger to your site, you need to have written permission from the blogger. Please supply that permission to the support team along with your request.

Note: The Delete feature under the Actions heading is not enabled for the Steelcase 360 and Turnstone feed. To disable one of these, simply deactivate the feed by unchecking the Active box in front of the Feed name. See example in #1 above.
