DealerWeb comes complete with all the necessary Steelcase images for the product section. When dealers create new product pages, or categories, they have the ability to select the images that are used on their site.
This document will explain how to:
- Select Images for display on the Product Category Overview and Product pages.
- Select an Image for a new Parent Category.
Selecting Images for display on the Product Category Overview and Product pages
When you create a non-Steelcase product page, DealerWeb selects an image from the product page gallery to become the large image at the top of the product page and selects a thumbnail image for the product category overview page. You can control which image is displayed in both places.
Using a different image on the product page than on the product category overview page
You may want to have a nice scene shot containing the product on the product page, but on the overview page, you may want to have a clean image on a white background as shown below:
In the gallery for that product page you need to upload at least 2 images. One for the overview page thumbnail and one for the product page.
Using the same image on the product page as the product category overview page
If you want the product category overview image and the image at the top of the product page to be the same, don’t select a featured image and DealerWeb will take the first image in the gallery and put it on the overview page and as the large image on the Product page.
Select an Image for a new Parent Category
Within the product navigation, there are Parent Categories and sub categories. Parent categories such as Seating have a large image on the overview page. Child categories like Outdoor, do not have a large image.
If you create a new Parent Category i.e. Used Furniture, you can select the image that displays on the top of the page. When you create the new parent category, identify the featured image from the interface below.
